So it seems that we have started a yearly Halloween tradition of making a pinata. This year it was a Spider-Man pinata. Ethan had fun handing paper strips to mommy to put in the goop. He was shy of getting his hands goopy. He also had fun squeezing the glue while mommy put the tissue paper on. The eyes we found a pattern and traced it on then painted the rim of the eyes black and then filled the eyes in with square strips of white tissue paper.
This Saturday we also did the traditional carving pumpkins. Shocking that Ethan was a little shy of putting his hands in the pumpkin to get the guts out but at least he tried to do it with a spoon with as little contact with the guts as possible. Addison wasn't even shy about it. She refused to even come close to our pumpkin gutting. They both enjoyed drawing and cutting the pumpkins. Daddy and Ethan did a friendly smiley face on their pumpkin and Mommy and Addison tried to do a Spider-Man pumpkin. In the end we all agreed that it looked more like an alien. Especially when lit up in the dark. Now hopefully they will last until Halloween for our trunk-or-treat.
