Halloween is getting closer and closer and this year and my kids decided to on some fun and interesting costumes. Costumes that I don't think you will be able to find at the stores. So since we are going to be starting Halloween school festivals, trunk-or-treats and of course Halloween itself, we decided to start working on the costumes.
Like I said, my kids didn't choose costumes you can do from the store, so mommy had some work. Ethan wants to be Steve from his Minecraft game and since Addison is already Minnie Mouse 24/7 we had to step it up and be Super Minnie Mouse. Making these costumes wasn't to hard, thank goodness but as you can tell, I am not a professional and my kids are easy to please. With Addison, she is going to wear one of her Minnie Mouse dresses, with the cap, mask, wristbands and the Minnie Mouse ears that she wears 24/7 since January. She also has a trusty sidekick. Super Tuggle. As you can see in one of the pictures, Tuggle is not to fond of wearing the cap and tries to take it off but hopefully he will be so excited about trick-or-treating and we will have him so used to his cap that he will leave it on for Halloween.
Ethan's was actually a little more difficult. We went box dumpster diving to make a Steve head. Then we had to find a blue shirt and purple pants. Wouldn't you know that it is hard to find purple pants for boys. (Shhh..don't tell) but we ended up buying girls purple pants and even after going to many stores and trying on lots of girl pants we still couldn't find pants that fit perfectly. The ones he is wearing are a little to big and will have to be safety pinned just to make sure we don't have a embarrassing underwear experience. And thanks to Pappi and Grammy, he also has the cool diamond sword that Steve uses in the Minecraft game. So at least the main and important thing is ready for Halloween, the costumes. Now when it gets closer we just have the pumpkin carving, pinata, decorating our trunk for trunk or treat and having a Halloween party while Daddy it gone. Halloween is so much fun for the kids and I.
