Won't Stop Growing, Melt My Heart Son

Our lives are still crazy, busy as ever but it is also so much fun. Since Ethan has started kindergarten it feels like life is on fast pace speed. It's nice to be back in a routine and have things to do but I think when the weekend comes around, we are defiantly ready for the break before the next week.
This Sunday though, I was very proud of my son, Ethan. He was asked to give a talk in Primary last Sunday. When he gave me the paper with the information, he said, "Mom they gave me this but they gave it to the wrong Ethan." I looked at the paper that had his name on it and the topic for his lesson. I looked at him and said, "Nope, nice try, but they gave it to the right Ethan and they want you to give a talk next Sunday." So during the week we found a short talk for him to give, since he is reading it himself, and we practiced it. On Sunday, Sept. 23, he was to give his talk. He was nervous, so nervous that he didn't want to sit in the chair designated for the Primary talk person. He sat there though when the counselor asked him to sit there. Since he seemed so nervous I did have a little doubt and was preparing to just read it myself. When it came to his turn, he got up to the mic and read the whole talk big and loud, all by himself and he even remember to end it with "In the name..." I wanted to hug him, kiss him and give him many high fives but didn't know if that was appropriate in Primary. This Mommy was so proud of her son. He is so smart and growing so fast.
That same day, after church, he did another big thing. I painted the kids toenails and fingers and Ethan decided to treat his mother and paint her toenails. Mommy doesn't remember to do her own nails and it has been a long time since they were done. So it was a real treat to have Ethan do them for me. He even did pretty good for his first time at it. Don't judge Ethan's work but his Mommy's ugly toes, he really did do a good job. What great kids I have. I just wish again that they could stop growing so fast.
