Right after we went to Walmart and bought our Halloween prizes from Grammy-Great, we had a Fall Festival to go to at Ethan's school. The kids were excited to have an excuse to wear their Halloween costumes. As you can see in the pictures, Ethan is Hulk this year and Addison is Minnie Mouse. We even experimented and spray painted their hair black. Since Ethan's hair is brown it might be harder to notice but Addison, you can tell makes a difference since her hair is so blond. (After spraying their hair black, which in the end they hated because of the fumes, they decided they won't do that again). When we entered the festival, the kids were blown away and didn't know where to start. Mommy bought tickets and we walked around a bit to see what options we had, then Mommy steered them to the smaller, less ticketed items to get them started. Once they saw how it worked and the prizes they were winning they began to really have fun. Ethan loved a bowling ball booth that he ended up going to three times. Addison loved the throw a hula hoop on the milk bucket because the prize was spiked balls. They were able to do lots of the small games three or four times and ended up with a small paper bag crammed with prizes. They also got cotton candy that Ethan begged for. When it was done they said that they loved the Fall Festival more then our pumpkin patch family night. I am glad that they had so much fun. Mommy loved it to but honestly is a little exhausted from the long day.
The fun didn't stop there since they still had their toys to play with and prizes to look at. Of course the first thing we did was take baths and wash the black spray out of their hair that was beginning to bother them. Then Ethan was eager to open his play dough set and play with it. Oh, I guess Addison was just as excited. It was a struggle to get her to sit still long enough to get her dressed after her bath, she was so excited to play her toys. They were also excited that today was the extra hour stay up night, so they had more time to play with the toys and prizes. Mommy might not have been as thrilled about that but I am enjoying how much the loved the day. It isn't even Halloween yet and we are already having so much fun.
